Dirty Days

May 9, 2013 by heatherss 13 Comments

Some days when we aren’t going anywhere, mom lets me loose.

That means I can crawl around everywhere as much as I want, and get as dirty as I want too.

Our house is a dog house. We love Coffee and Milo terribly, and don’t know what we’d do without them, but they sure can drop hair all over the place. With the maid only coming once a week now, if I crawl on certain days when she hasn’t been around, well… I’m gonna get super dirty.

Today mom let me crawl outside. Woo-Hoo! First I practiced opening and shutting the kitchen door. Then I sat outside paying with sticks. Mom was washing dishes but she kept checking on me all the time.

Crawling outside and getting super dirty.

Crawling outside and getting super dirty.

When she came to join me, I got a bit braver and started crawling across the driveway to where I found another door to play with.

The phone rang, it was dad, so we went back inside. Mom changed my nappy.

I crawled around in the kitchen. Mom has been pretty vigilant about moving the dog food out of my way (yip, it doesn’t taste good, I’ve sampled it….) but she forgot about the water bowl.

Playing with the dog's water.

I put my hand in and next thing there was water everywhere. It was so funny. Just like my bath. I splashed in the water. I crawled in the water. I got totally wet and had so much fun.

Mom let me play in my mess for a bit before she carried me off for a bath. That would be my second one today. I got to play with my bath toys all over again. Bonus!

So absolutely adorable! And getting messy is totally worth it, especially for the extra go at the bath toys!

Here from ICLW- nice to meet you!

How fun! Kids LOVE getting dirty! I know my daughter does.

Our children share a b-day- my daughter was born on June 13th, as well. A few years before your son though- she’s about to turn four.

Hi there, another visitor from ICLW. Super cute post! Is it bad I kinda wish it was socially acceptable for a grown adult to just crawl around and play with everything we shouldn’t? Just have some fun with no care in the world, then get rewarded with great toys and a soak in the tub…sounds like a wonderful day to me!
    Happy Blogging,
    Melia

Get dirty while you can! Before long you have to take a bath because your glands will grow up and you smell bad without getting out of bed!
