I hope you all are having a wonderfully relaxing Heritage Day weekend. I am really enjoying this long weekend so much and it has turned out to be very restful.
Some of the good things happening over the past few days are:
- A long weekend: DH is home which is nice.
- Had a nice mom’s group on Thursday even though it was a public holiday.
- Really nice Sat with a Wimpy breakfast (no cooking till supper for me)
- Sitting with Nicky by the pool squirting water with his water pistol.
- Then we watched a bird build a nest. How amazing just to sit there and watch the bird fly away and come back each time with another piece of grass or leaf. Nicky kept asking where the bird was and when he was coming back, until sure enough, there he was.
- Watching Nicky enjoying his train set and setting it up on a new table which we made from crates and the table tennis table top. So glad this is done so that we can move it off the floor and not have the dog knock it over all the time.
- Watching Nicky have absolute joy dropping balls into the pool table and coming out the other side. Doing this over and over again. He wanted to take the balls into the bath but we managed to cut it down to just three balls.
- And the best early Christmas present of all: a Shiatsu Massager. I think DH is sick of hearing about my sore shoulder and when we were walking around in Game I saw this being demonstrated and I just knew this would help. I have collected so many rubbish massagers over the years and none of them rotate and press like this one does. I have longed for a massage chair for ages but I think this one is not only cheaper, its more portable and it works well too. So this thing is really helping release all that tension from carrying my kid around.
- I have some nice books to read too. One is about being a mom to boys and it looks really funny. “Mob Rule”.
- Good church service and seeing friends again.
What relaxes you?
