In the swim of things

November 17, 2013 by heatherss 5 Comments

We have been enjoying ourselves the past few days with my mom visiting.

It has been so hot we have been swimming pretty much every day.

Nicky has been getting braver. The first time he did not like the pool at all. Then we got him interested in a blow up boat a friend had given us. He liked being in the boat and dragging his hand in the water.

Standing on the first step of the pool.

Eventually I got him to stand on the first step and play there. He enjoyed that.

We have also been to the park and enjoyed sliding down slides. This was lots of fun. He went down with both my mom and I and even slid down on his tummy.

Sliding with Granny.

It has been so good to have my mom around, like an extra pair of hands with him and she does the dishes too. 🙂

Nicky’s hair has also been growing like anything and he had his first haircut. My DH did it. Just a few locks at the back.

My little bear. Growing so fast…

That is so nice to have your mom around. I know whenever mine visits it’s always fun. Thanks for sharing your photos. Nicky looks adorable in the pool.

Sweet – I had a little inflatable boat like that when I was a baby but I never had one for my girls. I love it and it’s so great that you are getting Nicky used to the pool so young.

Cutting toddler’s hair is very challenging. I have never done that. We always go to the barber. Luckily, my sister was a very talented private hairdresser. She cut all of my sons’ hair when they were under 6 months. Nicky looks very happy. Glad to see that.

Glad your mom is there to give you a bit of a break.
