Five Things I Value About My Mother

August 9, 2015 by heatherss Leave a Comment

what-i-value-about-my-motherHappy Woman’s Day everyone! I’ve spent the past few days with a visit from my mom and there are a few things I really miss about her now that she is gone back to PE.

So mom, this is what I value about you:

1) You wash dishes. This is fantastic. One less job for me.

2) You’re a fabulous babysitter. It has just been wonderful to get stuff done on the computer (like trying to catch up the SA Mom blog blogroll) and going out to movies with my husband (seriously I do not remember when last we actually went out to a grown up movie by ourselves).

3) You’re an encourager. I was hoping for some easy solutions on the potty training issue, but you celebrated the small successes of when he did pee in the potty and told me to keep the washing machine going. Yes, I have to. We are totally out of pants.

4) You’re a good conversationalist. So nice to catch up and chat. I miss talking to you.

5) I like your veggie cookups. Particularly that butternut and spinach one.

I know we get on so much better now we don’t have to live with each other, but… I can’t wait till you come back. 🙂
